Food for Fines

As part of its observance of National Library Week, Loutit District Library is again offering patrons the opportunity to exchange Food for Fines.  Bring in a non-perishable food or personal hygiene item for donation to Love, Inc from April 12 through April 18, and receive $1 per item off your current late fees up to a maximum of $5.

We are pleased to offer Zinio for Libraries

Loutit District Library, in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books, is pleased to offer Zinio for Libraries. Awarded Best New Database of 2012 byLibrary Journal, Zinio is the world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular publications.

Through our website, Loutit patrons will have unlimited multi-user access to complete digital magazines, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video. Every Day with Rachael Ray, Forbes, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and The New Yorker are just a few of the popular titles available.

Please read the Zinio User Guide or see a library staff member at the Adult Information Desk for more information on how to access this service.
