Below are other services offered at Loutit District Library. Most services are available at no charge; a few have a nominal cost.
Public Computers and Printing
Public computers are available in the Public Computing Room on the lower level of the library. Printing is available from any of the computers for 15 cents per page. For further information, see our Internet Access page.
We’re a Wi-Fi hotspot! Bring your laptop and enjoy our cozy fireplace or a summer breeze on our covered deck.
Proctoring service is available for academic exams. This service is free for LDL card holders. Others will be charged $10 per exam. A request form, along with the Exam Proctoring Policy, is available here. For more information, see a librarian at the Adult Information Desk.
Study rooms are available on a first come, first served basis. Register at the Adult Information Desk to use a room.
Reserve a Program Room

Reserve the Computer Classroom
For a nominal fee, non-profit cultural, educational, civic, governmental groups, and business firms are welcome to use our Computer Classroom for computer training. More information can be found here.
Book Club in a Bag
Check out a Book Club in a Bag—everything you need for a great book discussion, all in one handy bag. Each bag includes 10 copies of a great book, discussion questions, author information and read-alike bookmarks. Book Clubs in a Bag are available to anyone with a valid Lakeland Library Cooperative library card. For more information or to make a reservation, click here.
Compliments of The Friends of Loutit District Library, a coin-operated copy machine is available for public use. Black and white copies are 15 cents each. No color copying is available. The machine is located across from the Adult Information Desk.
Faxing is available at the library for 50 cents a page. See the attendant in the Public Computing Room on the lower level of the library to have your document faxed.
