Did you know that your library card allows you to check out materials not only from Loutit District Library but also from over 80 other public libraries in the Lakeland Library Cooperative? Getting the smartest card you’ll ever own couldn’t be easier – and it’s free because you pay taxes to support us!

Residents

If you reside or own property in Grand Haven, Grand Haven Township, Robinson Township, Ferrysburg, or the portion of Port Sheldon Township that is within the Grand Haven Area Public School district, all you need is a valid driver’s license or ID with your current home address. These items help us establish your identity and verify that you reside within our service district. Parents or guardians must be present to register minors. Stop by the Checkout Desk today to register!

PLEASE NOTE: Library cards expire every three years, starting from the date of issue. As long as you maintain residence within the LDL district, you may continue to renew your card indefinitely and continue to use the same card. For assistance with card renewals, please call 616-850-6910 or email [email protected].

Non-Residents

If you live outside of our district and outside the service area of other Lakeland Library Cooperative Libraries, you may still borrow items from Loutit District Library for an annual fee of $70.00, which can be prorated for a six-month fee of $34.00. Due to vendor licensing requirements and budget restrictions, non-resident cardholders may not download ebooks, use remote databases, or request items from other libraries. Non-resident cards expire each year on December 31. Stop by the Checkout Desk today to register!
