We have an important update to share. While we currently have no reported COVID-19 cases amongst our library staff members — due in part to our cleaning and PPE protocols — out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our community and our staff members, we are temporarily transitioning to curbside service only. We hope to reopen for regular library service on Monday, December 14 but will continue to evaluate the situation. Sign up to receive e-mail newsletter updates.

For more information about curbside service and to schedule a pickup, click here. We are making this move in an effort to avoid a complete shutdown of library service. Library staff will continue to work in the building and can be reached via phone (616-850-6900), e-mail (, the chat feature in the lower right-hand corner, or via social media during library service hours.

Although we have decided to move to curbside delivery of library materials, book returns will remain open and a new after hours holds pickup locker will be available in the library’s garage enabling you to retrieve your requested items if you are unable to reach the library during curbside hours. Don’t forget our digital library is always available. We will monitor the local situation and will provide timely communication regarding library services.
