Library Returning to "New" Building
Loutit District Library expects to close operations at its temporary location on June 20 at 5:00 pm and re-open at the "new" building, 407 Columbus Avenue, on July 1 at 9:00 a.m.
For your convenience, the book drop near the Fourth Street Entrance at the downtown location will be open for returns starting June 22, 2009. The book drops at 1051 S. Beacon will be closed as of that date.
Any items belonging to Loutit District Library will not be due between June 22 and July 6, but items from other libraries will be due. Fines will be waived for items returned during those times.
Library items can be renewed, holds can be placed, and fines can be paid online. Library material can also be renewed by phone at 844- 4496. Please remember that you can also check out and return materials at neighboring libraries.
Be sure to stop by the downtown location on or after July 1 to see how we've renovated and expanded. We think its awesome!
